| Awaiting approval | The order is waiting for a decision. Downloads stay locked. |
| Approved | Approve then pay: approved and waiting for payment. The buyer pays from the email or My Account, then the order moves to Processing. |

When an approved order is paid, WooCommerce sends its usual New order and Processing order emails. All emails use your store template and can be edited or turned off under WooCommerce, Settings, Emails.
Stock
- Approve then pay: with “Reserve stock while waiting” on, stock is reduced when the order is placed and put back if it is rejected or cancelled. It is never reduced twice when the buyer pays.
- Pay then approve: WooCommerce reduces stock at payment as usual, and rejection puts it back.
