Please test this with your own WooCommerce Subscriptions before selling. That paid plugin was not available when Pro 1.0 was built, so this part was checked with a stand-in for it and not against the real plugin.
Tick Renew this box on the Box tab to sell a box as a subscription product. It needs WooCommerce Subscriptions and uses fixed box pricing.
- Subscribers get a Next box page in My Account, where they change the items for the next renewal.
- Changes stop at the cutoff, a set number of days before the renewal.
- The Change your next box email goes out a set number of days before the renewal, once per cycle.
- At renewal the item lines are rebuilt from the saved items, so stock is reduced per item.
- If an item is out of stock it is swapped with a similar item from the same pool, or left out, as you choose. The Box item unavailable email tells the store and the customer.
