Requirements
- WordPress 6.2 or later, PHP 7.4 or later, WooCommerce 8.0 or later.
- Works with High Performance Order Storage and with the older order storage.
- The Pro add-on needs the free plugin active.
Install
- Install the free plugin from Plugins, Add New, or upload wolfiz-split-order.zip.
- For Pro, upload wolfiz-split-order-pro.zip and activate it.
- Review WooCommerce, Settings, Split Order.
FAQ
Does the customer pay twice? No. The customer pays once and split orders are marked paid through the original.
When does the automatic split happen? Right after payment, in the background, so the payment and normal emails cover the whole purchase.
How are refunds handled? On the original order, which holds the payment.
Can I undo a split? Yes, with Move back, until the split order is completed, cancelled or refunded.
What happens to coupons? Each coupon’s discount is shared in proportion to the items that moved.

Filters: wfso_should_split, wfso_auto_moves, wfso_shipping_mode, wfso_copy_meta_keys, wfso_can_split, wfso_split_targets, wfso_split_email_intro. Actions: wfso_before_split, wfso_after_split, wfso_before_undo_delete, and in Pro wfsop_after_merge. Methods: WFSO_Splitter::split, ::transfer and ::undo. The email and linked orders templates can be copied to the theme.
